The sense of a Good and
Just Leader...A PATRIOTIC LEADER.
Comment:
In behalf of Ninoy whom in his dreams that Filipino
people would have equitable wealth, fair justice and fair treatment
I came out to challenge all future leaders of this land to really execute
what is really BEST for our COUNTRY and for OUR PEOPLE. Here's my
unsolicited ideas for TRUTH and FAIRNESS whom I think the REAL DEMOCRACY
LIES.
I WANT TO BECOME A SENATOR/PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES TOO.
Do you want to ask why? Please read and evaluate.
It is because I have not seen anybody from our current leaders the sense
of sincerity, the heart and the will to really alleviate the life of every
Filipinos. They have no REAL CONCERN to their people and what they’re
after of was for the benefit of their businesses and personal agenda and
gain. For all we know a good leader should and must be a leader that CARE
and would WORK for the WELFARE of HIS/HER PEOPLE and COUNTRYMEN not for
his personal gain and of his allies. I would only believe and choose a
LEADER that a really cares and love his people and would rather convey
with my PLATFORM OF GOVERNANCE in which I strongly believe the Filipino
People does really need. Though this is not done in detailed but we can
improve this and make a study. Here are some of my thoughts which I think
our country need to implement.
I. RE-ASSESSMENT/RE-INVENTORY OF ALL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES
AND OFFICES. Why?
• To established reform and focus for more effective
governance.
• To avoid redundancy of duties and responsibilities.
• To minimize pointing out of fingers when certain
issues arises.
II. RE-ASSESSMENT/ RE-INVENTORY OF LANDS AND ITS USE
(BOTH PUBLIC/PRIVATE). Why?
• To established proper accounting of our land use and
allocations.
• To develop “ONE PROVINCE, ONE PRODUCT IDENTITY”.
• To ensure proper allocation/division of lands to
landless and farmers who can manage and knows how to cultivate that land.
III. EMPLOYMENT. How and Why?
• Upon dividing our lands to fit people and after
testing what suited to it then will assign it by Province for
implementation.
• Then we’ll invite investors from both local and
foreign to invest or maybe put a factory, plant or industries that will
benefit our raw materials/supplies.
• Then we can create jobs, business and employments
IV. FOOD
SECURITY. How?
• After division of the lands for use and develop it
will follow that we will have a harvest and that would result for
abundance supply of food to feed our mouth, our people and of course the
opportunity to export products out of it.
V. EDUCATION. How?
• As we develop areas thru investors, it is of course
necessary that they will build schools and amenities in the community for
their employees and their families.
VI. HEALTH. How?
• Same as education, it is should be a law that once
investors will come in and invest. Healthcare services like hospitals and
clinics should be jointly build and operated by our government and our
investors. And it should be free for all.
By doing all of this, everything will follow. Tourism, education, health,
farm to market road, employment, industrialization, peace and order, food
security and GDP and GNP will also goes up etc... We are not just aware of
this because we only focused on how to get easy MONEY and KICKBACKS that
is why we don’t dare to evaluate our natural resources and how it can be
very USEFUL TO US and to our people.
The SECRET for a SUCCESSFUL COUNTRY does not depend only on how rich,
popular and powerful a LEADER can be but ON HOW A LEADER CARE, LOVE and IN
VISION HIS COUNTRY AND HIS PEOPLE.
So, I challenge my countrymen that we will watch and guard our BALLOTS
until we have chosen the right and effective leader to LEAD our country to
PROSPERITY and PROGRESS. Let’s not be HUNGER and GET SATISFIED for A
KILO OF RICE AND A HANG BAG OF GROCERIES for in RETURN, A LIFETIME
SUFFERINGS AND MISERIES for all of us. That’s why I’m CHALLENGING ALL
THE ASPIRING LEADERS/POLITICIAN OF OUR COUNTRY THAT IF THEY’RE REALLY
SINCERE TO SERVE AND PROTECT OUR COUNTRY AND COUNTRYMEN THEN MAKE MY
PROPOSALS A LAW AND HAVE IT IMPLEMENTED. Let’s stop doing publicities
coz it’s not what we are looking for BUT A DREAM TO COME TRUE FOR OUR
PEOPLE AND OUR COUNTRY. TO BECOME A SOVEREIGN STATE. HOW? LET’S WORK IT
OUT STARING NOW. Thank you and GOD BLESS PHILIPPINES. Engr. Rey D

Answer:
This maybe awkward to
say, but I believe his death was his most important contribution to the
Philippines. Basically, it changed the course of Philippines' history by
triggering the Filipino people to unite and fight for their rights against
the Marcos regime. Thus, proved the concept of democracy, a government
by the people.
Comment:
I just happened to drop by in this site for
my reaction
paper about the People
Power and of course, the late President Cory's death. Though I was
not yet born when the EDSA
revolution happened. Still, after countless times of watching
documentaries and of reading articles about the People Power, I can say
that the whole EDSA thing really touched me. Here's a portion of my
reaction paper.
Who are the Aquino couple? What did they do for the Philippines? What’s
their role in changing the course of this nation’s history? Basically,
the couple gave their life for the Philippines. One was killed for the
country and the other gave up living a normal life for the country.
As we all know, Lakas Sambayanan or the People Power is a very a memorable
event in Philippine History wherein the Filipinos
as a whole became united. The first ever People Power
took place in Highway 54 now known as Epifanio Delo Santos Avenue or
simply EDSA. Thus, gave birth to the term, EDSA Revolution.
The couple took so much part in the above said uprising. Let’s say
we’d take the couple out of the picture and say all the other factors
were the same. What would have happened? I believe you and I would have
the same answer. You see, if not for them there wouldn’t be a People
Power. There wouldn’t be that specific reason that would trigger the Filipino
people to go out on the streets and fight for their rights against
the government.
p.s.
I'm sorry if it's not yet finished because I barely started it and I'm
still on the searching-for-facts stage. thank you. :)

Answer: In
a few hours, my husband and I will be on our way to Manila
Cathedral to pay our last respects to Tita Cory. I have been very
emotional for the past days, most especially now after watching the video
in the homepage. I've been feeling so down I could not work decently last
Monday and took the day off today. I cannot exactly put my finger on what
my emotions are. I know there is deep loneliness because of Tita
Cory's passing. There is overwhelming gratitude for the freedom most of us
Filipinos take for granted. There is bitterness towards other
people's apathy, like some of my officemates' which really put me off last
Monday. There is disappointment with myself for not doing more to
help, to keep Ninoy and Cory's fight alive. There is impatience with
myself with being 32 and not establishing myself solidly and quickly
enough so that I had provided already for my family so I can spend most of
time for others
and country. I know I have the passion, the love, the talent to
contribute more. The fact that it remains a vision sometime in the
future frustrates me. I am anxious and restless. The past days have
left me questioning how I'm living my life and where I'm going. Is
it enough that I am a good citizen and I do my best to provide a good life
for my family? I guess Tita Cory answered this in the video.
She just lost her husband to the cause of freedom and asked herself if
that is enough. Yet her answer is we can do more, give more.
But I ask is doing more, giving more a privilege of those who have excess?
I will surely be pondering on these questions in the coming days.
One thing is certain though. The fire that started burning in my young
heart when I wrote a paper on Ninoy when I was in 6th grade has burned
even brighter with Tita Cory's passing. I will take on the torch.
Let's keep their memories and their fight alive. Let us live eserving to
be called the Filipinos Ninoy died for and Cory lived for.

Obviously, I wasn't
born yet when Sir Ninoy lived and wrote his legacy on the pages of
Philippine history. However, I am in so much a regret to not be born at
such time for the generation who lived when Sir Ninoy lived is, for me,
the luckiest.
He is my hero. I have known him since childhood and had admired and
respected him most ardently among all the other Filipino heroes.
I wish I was bron then. I wish I knew him. I wish, even at his death, I
was there to witness such fascinating event. But it is us now to save the
country. No more Ninoy
Aquino, but his name will live as long as history goes on.
I am very much thankful for putting up a site dedicated only for Sir Ninoy
to give information, especially for youths of the new generation like me,
to know and acknowledge the heroism done by 'the greatest president we
never had,' Benigno 'Ninoy'
Aquino.
