Comment: I
am one of Ninoy's avid fan although i have only read about him through
newspapers and thru this website. He probably is the one person that I
ever wanted to see and emulated but i was barely 3 years old when he died.
I am especially grateful to him for restoring or help restore the
democracy that I am enjoying. Right now I am already an optometrist but i
firmly believe that what he did to me and to the rest of our countrymen
can never be repaid. He brought us back to the map and he made us believe
in ourselves again. I am proud to be a filipino because Ninoy was and
always will be a filipino. Mabuhay!

country is headed for a big disaster if the big "C" doesn't

rich can afford good education while others who can be great leaders of
this country are being left on the streets, being ignorant of their gifts.
He fought because he has great love for our counrty and our countrymen. I
guess we didn't really get the point. He died for a cause and the cause is
still. I love his memories, but I want his LEGACY....

Comment Ninoy
is very much alive. He lives in every freedom- and justice-loving
Filipino. Like Lorenzo Ruiz who purportedly said, "If I could die a
thousand deaths for the sake of God, I would," Ninoy would have
willingly allowed more than a thousand bullets to bore holes through his
body just to reawaken the slumbering Filipino soul.
I admire Ninoy's fiery
speeches, his spontaneity, his wit, his brilliant mind, and his piercing
challenge. I admire his conviction more. But I admire his human-ness and
humaneness most of all.
What good is a dead hero,
you might ask. Ninoy is a hero all right, but never a dead one. He is very
much alive in all those who seek justice, peace, freedom, and peace. Is
Ninoy alive in you?

imprtant contribution is his life......... by his untimely death,
Fi;ipinos finally were awaken. Facing the fact: that the Marcos tyranny

only regret is I was not able to meet Mr. Aquino. I had the pleasure,
though, of meeting his mother during a domestic Philippine Airlines
flight. If there's one thing I could tell you, Mr. Aquino, it will be THANK
YOU. For there is no greater act of love, no greater act of martyrdom than
to lay his own life to a country. Maraming Salamat sa iyo. You are always
remembered. Eternal peace be granted upon you.

Comment: "The
Filipino is worth dying for" a statement that was given life and
sincere meaning by the martyrdom of Ninoy. I hope my fellow Filipinos will
take time out to examine the real meaning of this statement as lived out
by a person who sacrificed his life for the sake of the Philippines
liberation from falsehoods and eventual death as a democratic country.

personal list of world leaders that I admire who were shaping up world
history thru their own humble way. But all have gone too soon before they
can even see the results
of their hard work. People like John F. Kennedy (US), Anwar Sadat (Egypt),
Indira Gandhi (India), Yitzak Rabin (Israel) and
lastly I include my hero, Ninoy Aquino (Philippines). I
am sure if he was not assassinated , he could have done a very excellent
job as President of the Philippines.

Comment: we have a very
rich history of brave heroes who by chance of fate proved that we,
FILIPINOS are worth dying for...it's just a sad reality that nowadays a
lot of people from our government have forgotten the real meaning of
public service. people in our government, well most of them if not all are
power-hungry and greedy beyond compare...they dwell in riches while a lot
of our filipino citizenry are struggling to have food on their tables...
they tend to tell that its not their fault if they were born in
riches...being rich is not a problem as shown by ninoy, its how you deal
with the power that your wealth gives you... sadly, class struggle still
exist in our country!!! lets not forget the people who died for this kind
of endeavor!!! lets keep this flame in our hearts burning and let the
rotten people in our government that giving your life for the poor is the
way to discipleship!!!! long live the NINOY!!!

Comment: The true
epitomy of a modern filipino hero, a man ahead of his time. Developed a
vision of a united and proud Philippines exemplified by his personnal
achievements and sacrifices that remains largely un-appreciated due to
lack of national pride and ideology of most filipinos. A man who meet
CHRIST when he was in his lowest point in life; transformed, he did
everything humanly possible to seek genuine unity and reconcilation as
instructed my the master. Treated with trechery...murdered... BUT Just
like all great men he was destined to rise above the judgement of evil
men, accorded instead the title of a HERO!!!!!! Thru his example we
continue to pray and have hope, that the CHRIST he meet in his lonelines
and solitude will deliver thru his mercy more filipinos like NINOY.. HE
REPRESENTS THE TRUE FILIPINO.......

about 12 years old when Sir Ninoy died for us Filipinos to help restore
our Freedom we now enjoy so much. He gave up the ultimate sacrifice - his
life & family. The day it happened I can still vividly remember how it
affected me and the whole country. And now that I am older I realized how
unselfish and brave he was. He was one of a kind. He is truly now in the
company of Gandhi, Rizal, Martin Luther King and Jesus Christ. God
Bless him and the Philippines. Wish all Filipinos
including me will follow his footsteps not just by thoughts and words but
in action.
